Well-regarded UK law firm known for its dynamic, full-service practice is seeking to hire a Property Legal PA to join their London office on a permanent basis.

Salary to £45,000. Hybrid working (3 days office / 2 days remote). Competitive employee benefits on offer to include healthcare plans, cycle to work scheme and 22 days annual leave plus 3 days business closure for the festive period!

The successful Legal PA will provide secretarial and administrative support to a range of fee earners, including Partners, Associates and Trainees, in their Property team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support fee earners with administrative activities (for example, bundling, indexing, general organisation etc).
  • Responsible for client care correspondence, opening files, conflict checks and sanctions searches and working with the AML team during the client/file opening process.
  • Act as first point of contact for clients on phone, email and face-to-face.
  • Prepare client registration documents, engagement/assignment letters, conflicts checks, money laundering, sanctions searches and audit letters, with direction from the Partner/fee earner.
  • Manage inbox and file e-mails, ensuring that urgent emails are promptly picked up by fee earners, or forwarded to another fee earner in their absence.
  • Carry out typing tasks i.e. urgent documents (digital and non-digital dictation).
  • Make travel arrangements (flights, hotels, dinners etc).
  • Work collaboratively with other secretarial support and provide support to the secretarial team during secretarial absences for the department (and firm).
  • Attend to relevant property and finance searches through “InfoTrack”, deals with Land Registry applications and stamp duty returns with direction from the fee earner.
  • Supports fee earners with billing processes.
Skills & Requirements:
  • At least 3 years’ experience as a Legal PA within Commercial and Residential Conveyancing.
  • Ideally a secretarial qualification (ILEX, Pitmans, Quest, RSA or equivalent).
