Recruit4Staff are pleased to be representing their client, a leading food production company in their search for a Maintenance Engineer to work in their leading facility in Smethwick. For the successful Maintenance Engineer, our client is offering:

  • Competitive salary paying up to £40,000 per annum
  • The company operate between 7am-6pm and you will be working a flexible 8 hour shift Monday to Friday depending on business needs
  • Permanent position
  • 20 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Days only, no shift work involved

The Role of the Maintenance Engineer:

  • Support and carry out any maintenance duties on site as directed
  • To support site planned maintenance inspections
  • To support all reasonable repairs on site equipment
  • Support any equipment breakdown needs to reduce production down time
  • Carry out any other duties as and when required
  • Responsible for weekly strip and clean-down of production equipment
  • Planned preventative maintenance
  • Liaising with the Production team

What our client is looking for in a Maintenance Engineer:

  • Must be Multi-skilled - ESSENTIAL
  • Ideally coming from a Food Production background - Highly advantageous
  • Proven experience of working with Steam Generators, Compressed Air and Electrics
  • Proven experience within a Maintenance role
  • Ideally hold mechanical or electrical qualifications

Commutable From: Birmingham, Smethwick, Handsworth, West Bromwich, Bilston, Wolverhampton, Wednesbury, Walsall, Dudley.
