Our client specialises in the design, supply, installation and maintenance of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, mechanical and electrical building services. They are based in Alton, Hampshire and have been established since 1973. They have been successfully carrying out HVAC, mechanical and electrical installations and maintenance for 50 years.
They are looking for an HVAC Mobile Mechanical Engineer preferably having worked in the building services industry, with experience to perform reactive and planned maintenance work on air conditioning systems & associated building services equipment. The ideal candidate should reside in Hampshire, West Sussex, Surrey or London.
Are you the right person for the job?
- Experience with commercial air conditioning systems
- F-Gas Cert – Cat 1 and ideally Cat 2 but not essential
- NVQ level 2 and preferably 3 but not essential
- At least 5 years working experience as a qualified air conditioning service engineer
- CSCS Cert
- A problem-solving attitude with an eye for detail
- Flexible and positive approach to work
- Open & willing to learning new skills – Chillers etc
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- High standard of workmanship
- PASMA & IPAF would be beneficial but not essential
- Manufacturers training courses would be beneficial but not essential
What will your role look like?
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance and fault finding on air-conditioning systems within commercial office environments
- Replace components such as compressors, condensers, and PCB boards
- Handle associated HVAC and building services equipment
- Complete documentation like F Gas Registers and provide occasional quotations to customers
- Manage your day effectively with a focus on customer satisfaction and service excellence
What can you expect in return?
- Competitive salary (£40,000 - £45,000 DOE)
- Travel pay for door-to-door travel time
- Vans will be provided
- 25 days annual holiday plus 8 bank holidays (pro-rata)
