The Lead Reporting Engineer will lead a small team focused on reporting solutions - from designing and building to rolling out both regulatory and strategic reporting platforms. That includes everything from data integration and analytics engines to reporting layers and governance setups. Solid hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, SQL, data modeling, database design, SSRS, and various data frameworks. Also pretty strong on the project and team management side - making sure to arrange the right-sized resources to get things delivered smoothly. You will perform as the subject matter expert (SME) for multiple domains into comprehensive reporting solutions, reporting development with working knowledge of related domains (DevOps, application support, infrastructure and network, and security).

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop software and data applications for regulatory and customer reporting.
  • Lead and mentor software development teams using agile methodologies and regular sprint planning meetings.
  • Collaborate with business, architecture, and infrastructure teams in order to build the strategic reporting platform.
  • Maintain system documentation and ensure adherence to technical standards.
  • Contribute to the architecture design principles and company-wide IT strategy, are applied correctly.

Essential Skills & Requirements

  • Expert in Java and SQL for reporting applications.
  • Proficient with Spring Boot and Spring Batch development.
  • Strong knowledge of data frameworks, modelling, database design, ETL technologies, Informatica ETL, SSIS, and APIs.
  • Experience with reporting tech stack (MS SQL Server, SSRS, Power BI, SSAS, PostgreSQL).
  • Experience managing development teams and agile delivery processes.
  • Familiar with DevOps toolchain (Jira, Bitbucket, Bamboo, etc.).
  • Skill in translating business processes into technical reporting solutions.
  • Strong understanding of how business components interconnect and align with corporate strategy.
  • Strong decision-making ability to deliver maximum value with project constraints (timeline, budget, and resources).
