Construction & Civil Solutions Ltd are looking to speak to experienced Planners or Senior Planner with civil engineering experience. We have an opening with a leading civils contractor based in Motherwell.
About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced and driven Senior/Planner to join our clients dynamic team within the civil engineering sector. You will play a key role in the successful planning and delivery of complex infrastructure and construction projects, working closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure optimal project outcomes. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the planning function on high-profile projects and help shape the future of infrastructure delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and manage project programmes using tools such as Primavera P6 and MS Project
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate planning and scheduling of all phases
- Monitor progress against baseline programmes and identify risks and opportunities
- Provide regular reports, forecasts, and analysis to internal and external stakeholders
- Support tender planning, methodology development, and resource planning
- Lead programme reviews and contribute to project strategy and delivery excellence
- Ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements
About You
- Proven experience as a planner within civil engineering or construction
- Proficient in planning software, particularly Primavera P6 and MS Project
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies and project lifecycles
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Degree-qualified in civil engineering, construction management or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., APM, CIOB) is desirable
