Geotechnical Engineer – Permanent – Edinburgh – up to £60K plus benefits (Hybrid working – 2 days a week in the Edinburgh office).
Change Digital are working closely with an established Scottish engineering consultancy business who are currently looking to appoint an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join their existing team. The successful candidate will have a fantastic opportunity to work on a variety of projects spanning the renewables, transportation, industrial, retail, residential and commercial sectors.

RESPONSIBILITIES:- Data collection, manipulation and interpretation of both geotechnical and geo-chemical data as part of site investigations for a wide range of schemes.
- Preparation of Geotechnical Desk Studies, Interpretative Reports and Specifications.
- Design, Procurement and Supervision of Site Investigations.
- Undertake geotechnical analysis and design e.g. slope stability, settlement assessments and foundation and retaining wall design.
- Inspections of foundations and gas protection measures.
- Site support and monitoring activities on infrastructure construction contracts.
- First degree in Civil Engineering.
- Four+ years of consultancy experience is minimum requirement.
- Good report writing and communication skills.
- Flexible and enthusiastic approach to working within a team structure.
- Confidence and ability to maximise the level of responsibility taken on projects, small and large.
- Clean driving license.
- Advantageous: An MSc in Geotechnical Engineering, Holebase experience, Hydrogeological modelling experience, GIS experience.
