An incredible opportunity to join one of the most forward-thinking Training and Teaching Practices in the area, with a set up that’s very much ahead of the curve in primary care. Focused on being progressive and improving ways of working, this high performing practice is exceptionally well run, and is now looking to hire a Lead Practice Nurse to lead their multi-skilled Nursing team.
You can expect a very balanced role, as the Lead Nurse will be focusing on clinical work as well as team leadership/development responsibilities. The surgery will be very flexible when it comes to the hours and working days that you desire. Set in a lovely building with forward-thinking management in place, it’s really not an opportunity to miss!
- Salary: £48,750 - £58,500 full time equivalent salary + 5 weeks annual leave + 1 week study leave + NHS Pension

The surgery has a longstanding, close-knit team who work well together in a harmonious environment. It is a Teaching and Training Practice with lots of upskilling available. There is a strong multi-disciplinary team, including Pharmacists, Nurse Practitioners, Mental Health Nurses, Physiotherapists, and Physician Associates. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop and practice clinical special interests, such as Diabetes and Women’s Health. The practice is very responsive and proactive to changing for the better, fostering a team-focused learning environment with an informal culture and highly organised EMIS Web practice.
Your role:
- Full-time or Part-Time role (minimum 25 hours)
- Traditional Practice Nurse duties
- Chronic Disease Management
- Management and long-term development of the Nursing team
- All pre-booked, face-to-face appointments
- Own clinical room
- Dedicated admin time
