A global leader, operating in over 28 markets, is continuing their growth journey with a crucial addition to their engineering team.
They’ve been on a journey for over a decade to become a major player within the European onshore renewables space. They have been on an important mission to generate and produce as much energy from renewable sources as possible. They are now a fully operational IPP, working over various onshore renewable technologies globally.
Their key technologies are solar, energy storage and wind, with over 11GW across Europe being developed. They also work across DCO projects in this space too! Their pan European team now stands at over 100 people, with this set to continue to grow over the coming years.
They have grown to play a vital role across all stages of the project lifecycle, beginning their support at investment stages. They also develop projects themselves but have seen additional success through their joint ventures in the space. They have teamed up with key players in the space for multi-gigawatt projects, developing and constructing out pipelines. They have over 5GW of grid connection capacity secured themselves. Finally, they work closely with EPC partners to construct assets as well as with their own asset operation and management teams.

The role
Given the nature of the group, and their full project lifecycle perspective, the position is varied. You’ll have senior grid and engineering managers to support you in this role as well as wider development teams to lean on.
The core to the position revolves around:
- Grid connection and interconnection infrastructure- ensuring the projects are complaint with these conditions, as well as communicating with various stakeholders surrounding these projects.
- Hands-on design work throughout the interconnection to the electric network- Preparing relevant interconnection and network designs and studies, including G99 applications and other network studies. You’ll be regularly working with grid code compliance and connection applications processes, providing support through these stages.
- Liaising with the National grid, DNOS and other relevant network operators.
- Wider stakeholder management works, communicating with ICPS, EPCS and other development partners.
- Hands on electrical engineering including substation designs and network studies.
