Due to a site expansion at our Lichfield Head Office, we have an opportunity for a Quality Assurance Assistant to help us to create and run a new production team for Beetroot products at Florette in Lichfield, WS13 8NF.
As a member of our QA team, you will provide assistance to the Technical Department and Operations by ensuring quality and compliance are adhered to throughout the factory. The successful candidate will support Factory Food Safety Inspections, Audits, Customer Complaint and Foreign Body handling.
Working hours: 4 days on, 4 days off. Hours based on business and production requirements.
Pay: £28,335 per annum
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct GMP audits with production and address any issues.
- Verify traceability documents have been completed correctly and challenge any mistakes.
- Log complaints and Foreign Bodies, conduct investigations and work with production to reduce reoccurrence.
- Conduct CCP verifications.
- Conduct fabrication/glass audits and liaise with maintenance when non-conformances arise.
- Adhere to testing schedule, competent in A-septic technique, basic understanding of micro analysis.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Competent in IT skills particularly Excel.
- Basic Food Hygiene.
- HACCP Level 3.
- Experience of working in a food manufacturing environment.
- Awareness of all manufacturing functions and responsibilities.
- Good communication skills and a desire to build cross functional relationships.
- Open to change and constantly drives for improvement.
- Good attention to detail with a tenacious approach to data accuracy.
