This role is responsible for content delivery for Grow London Local and our small business audiences. The Social Media Content Manager, Grow London Local will create bespoke, unique content that inspires audiences, communicates our brand messages, reflects London’s diversity and showcases our partners.

Working within the social team, you will be responsible for social channel management and video content delivery, and will be instrumental in the planning, logistics, filming and editing of exciting, fast-paced content that will be published across our B2B channels (organic and paid).

Key Tasks
  • Own daily management of the Grow London Local social media channels, from scheduling content to community management.
  • Create static and video content for Grow London local social media channels, including copywriting.
  • Collaborate with the Social Media Manager to source, create, write, film and edit video content across our social media channels including Meta, TikTok, X, LinkedIn and YouTube.
  • Manage filming briefs from start to finish, creating storyboards and writing text/scripts where required.
  • Coordinate the production and delivery of freelance content creators, ensuring content adheres to our brand and social media guidelines.
  • Manage footage/social media assets within L&P’s DAM.
  • Coordinate equipment within the social media team, including phones, gimbals, mics, tripods, lights, etc.
  • Ensure all content is cleared for usage with the relevant permissions and model release.
  • Work closely with in-house content, design, and communications specialists to ensure we have the right insights, content, messaging, measurement and optimisation in place.
  • Collaborate with Grow London Local marketing and content teams to ensure a joined-up content approach.
  • Proactively contribute to the planning, strategy and ideation of content during monthly content planning sessions, bringing insights and performance updates to monthly meetings.
  • Maintain consistent and engaging community management.
  • Monitor relevant trending topics and conversations and report back to Social Media Manager to leverage potential content opportunities.
  • Any other tasks reasonably allocated by line manager.
You’ll have/bring
  • Proven and significant experience in creating social media content for B2B and B2C brands.
  • Outstanding copywriting, videography and editing skills.
  • A self-motivated individual who can adjust to the flexibility of the ever-changing world of social media.
  • Excellent project management and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut or similar.
  • Exceptional knowledge and understanding of social media landscape.
  • Hands-on experience marketing or creating content on all or most of the following: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube and TikTok.
  • Social media advertising experience is a nice to have.
  • Community management experience with a strong understanding of crisis communication protocols.
  • Excellent organisational skills and a track record of delivering work on time and to budget.
  • Committed to continuous learning and evolving with industry best practice.
  • Commitment to follow protocols and guidelines at all times to manage corporate and reputational risk.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
