Your profile
- Broad inspection experience covering all basic disciplines; non-conformance handling, reporting, approval/rejection, identifying appropriate inspection methods, manual measurements, computerised inspection.
- Confident in drawing/standard interpretation to ASME, ISO, and internal/customer standards.
- Competent with CMM operation, multi-part setups, and universal/part specific fixturing.
- Competent with Zeiss Inspect GOM scanning, experience scanning complex geometries and creating basic reports.
- Visual inspection experience.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable discussing inspection topics and supporting other functions with inspection needs.
- Comfortable discussing, explaining, and advising on complex inspection topics.
- Competent with IT systems (ERP, MS Office, basic CAD packages).
- Experience with castings/additive manufactured parts and machined parts (preferred).
Your responsibilities
- Plan and undertake inspection tasks in line with customer requirements using appropriate equipment including Hexagon CMMs running PC-DMIS, Zeiss blue light 3D scanners, manual tools and visual inspection.
- Document inspection results in Excel and Zeiss Piweb.
- Report quality issues through non-conformance management process.
- Ensure all inspection activities are completed with integrity, consistent good practice and to a high standard.
- Conduct departmental 5S and TPM activities.
- Support and advise other colleagues with inspection related queries.
- Support QMS development.
- Support with developing new inspection technologies and methodologies.
- Identify opportunities for improvement with inspection methodology and develop effective solutions.
