A growing, reputable client in the commercial catering and bar fit-out industry is looking for a CAD Designer / Project Manager to join their team on a permanent basis in Sheffield. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be producing layouts, coordinating installations, and managing client projects across a variety of sectors. This is ideal for someone with a passion for smart, functional design and an excellent understanding of commercial kitchens.
What you’ll be doing as a CAD Designer / Project Manager (but not limited to):
- Creating 2D and 3D layouts using SketchUp CAD
- Designing commercial kitchens and bar spaces for efficiency, flow, and compliance
- Liaising with clients, suppliers, and contractors to bring projects to life
- Managing projects from briefing through to installation and handover
- Attending site visits and providing expert advice on catering layouts and equipment
- Ensuring all designs meet health & safety, hygiene, and regulatory standards

Key Skills and Experience:
- Strong SketchUp CAD design skills (2D and 3D)
- Previous experience designing commercial kitchens, bars or catering environments
- Understanding of catering equipment, regulations and kitchen workflows
- Confident project management experience from concept to completion
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple projects
- Full UK driving license (for occasional site visits)
Desirable (but not essential):
- M&E or ventilation coordination knowledge
- Familiarity with HACCP and kitchen compliance standards
- Experience working alongside fit-out or architectural teams
