Working Pattern: Various part time hours worked flexibly across the week includes weekend working, waking night shifts and sleepovers. Annual increments 1st 5 years plus enhancements for unsocial hours and sleepovers.

Job Details: Adult Accommodation and Support provide support to people in their own homes across Fife. Supporting adults with learning disabilities within their own homes and to access their local community. This role includes day shifts, late shifts, sleepovers and nightshifts; all applicants must be able to do all shift patterns. This may be in a shared tenancy or on a one-to-one basis where successful applicants will be lone working. Successful applicants will be provided with all necessary training such as Moving and Handling, Dysphagia and CALM where required.
The Person: Must have or be willing to achieve in the first period of registration, the Social Services and Healthcare SCQF level 5 (equivalent to SVQ2) or equivalent to meet Scottish Social Services Council registration. Communication skills, organisational skills, ability to manage and prioritise workload, ability to work with minimal supervision, team working skills, literacy skills, basic IT skills. Ability to provide support to individuals with personal care needs, medication administration, budgeting, cooking and cleaning, moving & handling, ability to undertake physical tasks e.g. being able to comfortably kneel on beds and floors and able to rise without difficulty.
You are required to register with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of taking up employment in this role and to complete the required Post Registration Training and Learning (PRTL) over the first registration period. If appointed, you must start your application as soon as possible so you're registered within the required six months.
