Temp 2 Perm - 13 week period
Are you hands-on, reliable, and looking to join a busy, team-focused yard environment? We are currently working with a well-established business in the ME2 area who are looking for a Yard Operative to support their team on a temp 2 perm basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic and a valid FLT license to step into a fast-paced and rewarding role.
Key Responsibilities:- Safely load and unload stock, ensuring all items are handled correctly and paperwork is completed.
- Prepare deliveries, including labelling and packing orders to company standards.
- Receive goods in and carry out inspections, flagging any issues to the office.
- Conduct regular stock checks and update the team on inventory movement.
- Operate FLT and other MHE safely to move and organise stock.
- Maintain a clean, organised and hazard-free yard environment.
- Follow all company SOPs and Health & Safety procedures.
- Collaborate with delivery drivers, customers, and internal staff to ensure smooth yard operations.
- Valid FLT License is essential.
- Previous yard or warehouse experience beneficial but not required - full training provided.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
- Reliable, motivated, and a positive team player.
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions.
- Willing to learn and take direction from the Branch Manager.
- Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 7am - 4:30pm)
- Contract: Full-time, Temp 2 Perm following a 13 week placement
