The Position
We now have exciting permanent opportunities for motivated Electrical Layout Engineers to join our technical communities based in the South West of England. Join us and be part of making a valuable contribution to the mega-infrastructure, Nuclear New Build project at Hinkley Point C (HPC).
Responsibilities Include:
- Working closely with other MEH disciplines to ensure accurate and efficient building electrical layout design.
- Produce & review technical documents such as status reports, handover packages, change requests and impact analysis.
- Technical coordination, production and monitoring of electrical layout engineering studies for one or more buildings.
- Review and assessment of deliverables produced by electrical execution designers such as drawings or 3D design packages.
- Stakeholder management in terms of managing client reviews, execution designer reviews and supplier catalogues integration in 3D model.
- Monitoring and resolution of design Open Points, design changes and design non-conformances for electrical layout discipline.

For this position, we are seeking candidates with the following knowledge, skills, qualifications, and experience:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent). Alternatively, significant qualifications in an Engineering field combined with relevant work experience in an electrical discipline.
- Strong understanding of general layout rules and electrical layout requirements for industrial projects.
- Ideally, expertise in Industrial Building Construction or Detailed Design.
- Familiarity with 3D software tools such as ENOVIA, CATIA, PDMS, E3D, or Revit.
- Due to UK Nuclear Security clearance eligibility, candidates must have Independent Right to Work in the UK.
