About the role
Longlands Care home is situated in Daventry, offering a happy and safe living environment for our residents. Our team of friendly and committed staff provide the highest level of care and specialise in supporting people living with Dementia. With great accommodation and facilities, our care home aims to provide a home-from-home atmosphere where residents can feel comfortable and well cared for.
This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore subject to an enhanced DBS certificate, at our cost. West Northamptonshire Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.
What will you be doing?
As a Night Care & Support Assistant, you’ll support our residents who may be living with Dementia or have a physical disability. You will provide support as determined by a person-centred care plan to ensure our people are living their best life. The role is 20 hours per week (consisting of 12 hours) with alternate weekends.
About you
Are you passionate about making a difference in people’s lives? Do you have a warm and caring nature? Training will be provided. The role involves working closely as part of a team to provide practical, personal, and emotional support to people with complex individual support needs, learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and health and social care needs. The ability to assist in manoeuvring people as required is essential. You will need to cope under pressure, work flexibly, be reliable and patient. A sound understanding of good care principles, sensitivity, and discretion is important. Respect for people’s different backgrounds is essential in providing the best care and support.
