Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Tax Director / Partner to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading our tax advisory practice, providing strategic direction, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to our clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our firm and contribute to its growth and success. Technical areas include but not limited to:

Inheritance Tax Planning

Capital Gains Tax Planning

Income Tax Planning

Restructuring, Share For Share, Demergers

Incorporations and transferring properties into limited companies

Group Planning

VAT Planning

Tax Planning for landlords and high net worth individuals

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy:

– Develop and implement strategic plans to grow the firm's tax advisory services.

– Lead, mentor, and manage a team of tax professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

– Represent the firm at industry events and maintain a strong network of professional relationships.

– Client Management:

– Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring their tax needs are met with the highest level of expertise and service.

– Provide proactive tax planning and advisory services to a diverse range of clients, including high-net-worth individuals, corporations, and partnerships.

– Oversee complex tax compliance and reporting requirements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulations.

– Technical Expertise:

– Stay abreast of changes in tax legislation and regulations, providing thought leadership and insights to clients and the firm.

– Deliver innovative tax solutions that align with clients' business objectives and mitigate risks.

– Handle complex tax matters, including international tax issues, mergers and acquisitions, and tax audits.

– Business Development:

– Identify and pursue new business opportunities, driving growth and expanding the firm's client base.

– Develop and execute marketing strategies to enhance the firm's visibility and reputation in the market.

– Prepare and present proposals for new client engagements, showcasing the firm's capabilities and expertise.

– Meet billing KPIs

Qualifications and Experience:

– Minimum 15 years experience

– CTA qualified or equivalent with extensive post-qualification experience.

– Proven track record of success in a senior tax advisory role, ideally within a specialist tax consultancy or a Big Four firm.

– Exceptional knowledge of UK tax laws and regulations, with the ability to interpret and apply them effectively.

– Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in building and leading high-performing teams.

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build lasting client relationships.

– Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

– Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
