Our client, a leading firm within the legal sector, is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to oversee and enhance operational efficiency. This firm operates in a fast-paced environment, requiring a highly organised and proactive individual to manage key business functions.

The Role

This is a high-impact role, responsible for ensuring the seamless management of office operations, HR, compliance, and resource planning. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership to drive efficiency and maintain a well-structured, compliant, and productive workplace.

Key Responsibilities

  • Practice & Office Operations: Oversee day-to-day office management, including facilities coordination and supplier relationships. Ensure the smooth running of the firm’s administrative and support functions.
  • HR & Recruitment Support: Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, contracts, offer letters, and references. Coordinate training and professional development initiatives.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Work closely with Finance, IT, and Compliance teams to ensure adherence to SRA regulations and firm-wide policies. Support the firm’s risk management strategy, ensuring all employees meet regulatory requirements.
  • Resource Planning & Procurement: Manage office supplies, supplier relationships, and cost control to ensure operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Law firm experience is essential – ideally within a Practice Manager or similar role.
  • Strong background in HR, compliance, and office management within a legal environment.
  • Ability to work onsite 5 days per week in a fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent organisational, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
