About the role

As our Senior Platform Product Manager focused on our internal technology platform, you will address the most top strategic priorities for the company. You will pioneer product thinking across our platform teams and maximise the platform's impact across the organization. Our internal platform is not just about automation and tooling—it's about creating a process that improves both staff (e.g.: advisors, compliance, CRMs, Finance etc.) and customer experience. You will collaborate closely with cross functional teams across Technology, business and compliance to deliver our internal platform of the future.

You will also be well-connected with the broader Product practice. At Mattioli Woods, we spend our time building products that we're really proud of. We focus on the experience, often delivering with real polish but sometimes making fast strategic moves. We believe being good at product requires clear communication, attention to details, and challenging conventional approaches. We're open-minded when it comes to hiring—we care more about skills and attitude than specific experience or qualifications.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 2-3 years in developing internal tools that automate operational processes.
  • Experience building products that include both legacy systems upgrade and third-party integrations.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide clarity on difficult and complex problems.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience in making evidence-based product decisions.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence without authority.
  • Ability to understand and articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working in fintech or financial services industry a plus.

Nice to have

  • Experience working with platform-as-a-product approaches.
  • Experience scaling platforms to support growing organisations.

Your Responsibilities

  • Champion and lead product development, ensuring the platform evolves strategically to meet business goals.
  • Execute on pre-defined strategy to deliver internal tools that maximise operational efficiency and financial advisors satisfaction.
  • You’re a systems thinker: you can look at processes and technology and spot better ways of doing things.
  • You can work effectively with a diverse range of people and working styles to get stuff done and are able to thoughtfully and constructively challenge and influence the people you work with.
  • Capable of understanding complex processes, and identifying areas calling for improvement.
  • Experience with automating manual processes - a big plus.
  • Define and maintain product roadmap for our internal user platform.
  • Gather and prioritise requirements from internal stakeholders and engineering teams.
  • Lead the creation and continuous improvement of platform products, from ideation to delivery.
  • Explore opportunities across the product by analysing data, and engaging with stakeholders across Mattioli Woods.
  • Create and track platform metrics to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
  • Balance technical debt with new feature development to ensure platform sustainability.
  • Drive adoption of the platform through effective communication, documentation, and training.
