The Company

With ambition aplenty and fabulous products to match, this food brand is expanding rapidly with exciting plans ahead. To realise their ambitions, they need a technical superstar with hands-on experience in manufacturing to take the reins of all things under the product umbrella.

This role is hybrid, with 3 days in the London office and the other days WFH or at the manufacturing site. Flexibility will be required, though.

The Role

Reporting to the Founder, you will be responsible for strengthening quality, food safety, and compliance across the product ranges. This will include developing and maintaining the QMS, managing product compliance and identifying EPD improvements.

This is a hands on role where you’ll be ensuring product compliance, managing packaging and artwork approval, and driving technical/ operational various projects. You’ll also get involved in EPD and NPD projects via recipe formulation, overseeing trials and creating product samples, all to ensure products remain innovative, cost-effective, and consumer-driven.

With the support and mentoring of their Senior Technical Consultant (who is amazing!), you’ll quickly become the go-to person and subject matter expert on everything related to the product. You’ll identify new opportunities for the product and brand, whether from a technological, packaging, or ingredient perspective.

The Person

We are looking for a highly motivated and ambitious technologist with a food science/food technology degree and a solid background in a technical, quality, and compliance role within the food manufacturing industry. Manufacturing experience is essential for this role, as you will be directly involved in the production process. Experience in NPD/EPD would be highly desirable.

Ideally, you’ll have gained this experience in a fast- paced environment, where you’ve been encouraged to think on your feet, take initiative, and navigate technical hurdles with agility. You should have a passion for food, consumer trends, and a desire to improve products and make an impact in the marketplace.

You’ll be HACCP Level 2 and Food Safety Level 2 qualified, and have familiarity with improving and managing a Quality Management System.

You’ll be someone who brings heaps of energy and enthusiasm, along with an inquisitive, logical mind. You must be adaptable to changing priorities, skilled at managing multiple projects, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

If you\’re looking to join a growing business that will actively support your career development and offer you new opportunities as the brand expands, get in touch now. This could be your perfect role!
