The Finance Manager will report directly to the Group Financial Controller and plays a vital role in shaping the financial strategy of the organisation. The key responsibilities of this position include delivering robust and accurate financial operations, management, and reporting to enable informed decision-making, as well as overseeing the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll, invoicing, supplier management, and cash flow monitoring. The Finance Manager will also respond to ad hoc financial requests from the Group Financial Controller and company Directors. This role is crucial in ensuring the business maintains strong financial controls, processes, and reporting to support the overall strategic direction of the organisation.
The Responsibilities:
- Cash flow – producing up to date cashflow reconciliation and forecast
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations, journal posting
- Maintain the asset register
- Produce monthly profit and loss and balance sheet
- Management reporting including variance analysis and commentaries to assist with business decisions
- Monthly payroll preparation and submission
- Quarterly VAT calculations and submission
- Assisting with budgeting process
- Preparation of annual audit file and be first point of contact for the audit team
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations
- Manage a team of 2 ledger clerks
- Take full control of SAP B1 and make all process digital within SAP B1
Knowledge, Skills, Experience:
- Qualified or Qualified by experience Accountant
- Working Experience of SAP advantageous
- Good working knowledge of Excel
- Attention to Detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Professional and trustworthy
- Knowledge of Regulatory requirements
- Experience in a SME environment
