About the Company:
Capstone have partnered with a leading landlord across a wide range of commercial properties, providing essential spaces for small businesses and entrepreneurs throughout the UK. Their diverse portfolio includes business estates, railway arches, and various other property types, with a focus on supporting local businesses and community organisations.
Role Purpose:
The Development Surveyor / Manager will focus on maximizing returns from the property portfolio by leading and executing capital investment projects that contribute to achieving rental income targets and overall investment returns.
Key Accountabilities:
- Capital Investment Management: Identify, develop, and secure approval for capital investment cases that align with the asset management strategy, capitalizing on commercial opportunities to drive increased revenue.
- Project Lifecycle Management: Oversee investment cases from inception through key stages, including viability, feasibility, authorization, planning permission, design, construction oversight (managed by others), marketing, and customer handover.
- Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with internal teams, agents, consultants, and advisors to ensure project specifications meet market demand and maximize commercial returns.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Identify and cultivate opportunities with developers, investors, and neighbouring property occupiers to enhance the value of investment projects.
- Project Compliance: Monitor and coordinate all required consents and approvals to ensure the successful delivery of investment projects.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
Essential:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- MRICS qualified.
- Proven experience in managing capital investment projects within real estate or property management.
- Strong financial analysis and investment case development skills.
- Knowledge of asset management strategies to enhance value and drive revenue growth.
- Effective stakeholder management and communication skills.
Desirable:
- Relevant post-qualification experience.
- Full driving licence.
