My client is a leader in the defence space and is looking for a skilled Software Application Architect to design innovative, secure, and scalable systems for some of the UK\’s most critical government organisations.

🔍 What You’ll Do

• Architect modern, full-stack solutions (React, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, C#, NoSQL/RDBMS) for secure government systems.

• Lead technical decision-making, mentor engineers, and drive delivery within agile teams.

• Collaborate directly with customers, stakeholders, and other architects across multiple projects.

• Contribute to the development of secure, mission-critical services and applications that make a tangible impact.

✅ What We’re Looking For

• Experience architecting software systems in fast-paced, agile environments.

• Hands-on technical knowledge in React, TypeScript, JavaScript, Java or C#, messaging, MongoDB/Elastic, PostgreSQL.

• Comfortable with secure software practices and working with classified or sensitive data.

• Strong communicator and stakeholder manager with mentoring/leadership experience.

• Eligible for SC clearance (UK citizens only due to project classification).

🌟 Nice-to-Haves

• AWS or Azure certifications.

• Background in government, defence, or high-assurance systems.

• Experience mentoring or coaching junior engineers.

• Comfortable working 2-3 days/week on secure client site in London (Vauxhall, Southwark, or Stratford).
