About the Role:
As a Temporary Sous Chef, you'll be an integral part of a dynamic kitchen brigade, supporting the Head Chef in the daily operations. You'll play a key role in creating innovative, fresh dishes and managing kitchen operations to ensure high standards of food quality and service.
What We Need From You:
- Experience: Minimum 1 year as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or dining pub environment.
- Culinary Skills: Ability to create innovative dishes using fresh, locally sourced, seasonal ingredients.
- Menu Costing & Waste Control: Experience in menu costing, managing food budgets, and controlling wastage.
- Food Hygiene & Health & Safety: Up-to-date certificates and a solid understanding of regulations.
- Stock Management: Ability to manage and control stock effectively, ensuring minimal waste.
- Team Leadership: Passion for mentoring, training, and developing kitchen staff to maintain a positive and efficient working environment.
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for presentation, ensuring dishes look as good as they taste.
