The ideal person will have worked in a similar position, ideally for at least 1-2 years, and will have the ability to deliver great service to our guests. We are looking for someone who is hands-on, passionate about hospitality, reliable, and willing to learn as part of this growing team.
Key Responsibilities of the role:
- To ensure both internal and external maintenance work is carried out in line with the required standards.
- Delivering KPI improvements in line with agreed standard operating procedures, always working to reduce environmental impact.
- Schedule the team in line with planned and routine activities to deliver optimal levels of productivity.
- Maintain effective planning and checking of daily, weekly, and monthly periodic activity.
- You will be required to take the lead on health and safety matters along with being responsible for managing security arrangements throughout the hotel.

The hotel's site opposite the Barbican entrance to Alnwick Castle has a fascinating history. The castle was acquired by the first Duke of Northumberland in 1780. Bailiffgate House has served as a commissioner's residence, a school, and now, it is being transformed into a luxurious 48-room hotel with a bar and the Motte & Bailey Restaurant.
