We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join our team for an initial 6-month period. Based in Staffs, with travel to our sister site, this role is critical to ensuring our high standards of health and safety are upheld across both locations.
You’ll take the lead on all H&S matters, reporting into the QHSE Manager, and working closely with all departments and stakeholders—from the shop floor to senior leadership. Your expertise will guide compliance, enhance safety culture, and deliver practical improvements to support sustainable operations.
Key Responsibilities of the Health & Safety Advisor:- Champion a proactive and positive safety culture across both sites
- Collaborate with QHSE and Senior Leadership to embed H&S strategy
- Oversee risk management, RAMS, and regulatory compliance including ISO 45001
- Conduct internal audits and ensure all documentation is accurate and up to date
- Investigate incidents, drive root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
- Develop and deliver informative H&S training and support L&D activities
- Produce weekly, monthly, and annual reports on H&S performance
- Act as the main point of contact for external regulators and auditors
- NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) – Essential
- Chartered IOSH membership – Desirable
- Proven experience in H&S advisory roles within complex, multi-site environments (manufacturing, engineering, or similar)
- Strong working knowledge of H&S legislation, ISO 45001, and risk assessments
- Excellent communicator with the ability to influence and engage at all levels
- Proactive, analytical problem-solver with a hands-on approach
- Able to work autonomously, build trusted relationships, and manage priorities with confidence and clarity
The successful candidate must be eligible for security vetting clearance due to the nature of our work. Travel between sites will be required.
