A Trustee is required by a highly successful and international Physical and Mental Health Not-for-Profit organisation. They are looking for a Trustee with senior-level strategic operational experience in the charity or not-for-profit sector to provide fresh insights and expertise to their board.
They have an exciting opportunity to join their board of trustees at a time of renewed focus and ambition. Their board is evolving to ensure they maximise their impact, with a particular emphasis on strategic decision-making and measurable outcomes.
As a trustee, you will play a key role in guiding the charity's strategic direction, supporting its development and growth, and helping achieve their vision. While a passion for improving health, safety, and workplace wellbeing is essential, they are not seeking candidates with professional experience in health, safety, and wellbeing or experience as trustees. Instead, they are looking for individuals with strong strategic and operational expertise who can bring new perspectives to their board and help shape a future of innovation and measurable impact.
They are particularly interested in individuals with:
- Senior-level, strategic operational experience in the charity or not-for-profit sector
- A passion for making a difference in the health and safety, wellbeing, or environmental management space
- An interest in contributing to a board focused on creating positive impact through innovation and leadership.
They are committed to increasing diversity on their board, especially female representation, and strongly encourage applications from women. In return, they are committed to:
- Sponsoring Trustee or non-Exec Director training, such as IODA
- A more flexible approach to contract tenure, allowing a rolling one-year tenure with a commitment of up to three years
- Mentorship from senior Trustees/ex Trustees.
The Board of Trustees meets four times yearly in London and one strategy day, all scheduled in advance. Trustees will also be invited to undertake additional roles, including participation in sub-committees where appropriate, dependent on their areas of expertise or attendance at award presentations. The appointment is very rewarding but unpaid; however, all reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.
Time commitment: 4 - 5 face-to-face meetings per year in London.
