This position offers a unique opportunity to have a direct impact on operations by providing expert legal guidance on commercial property matters. Your responsibilities will be integral to our clients' success, focusing on acquisitions, disposals, lease negotiations, and dispute resolutions. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders and the property team to ensure all property matters are managed efficiently and in compliance with current legislation.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Advise and liaise with internal stakeholders on commercial property matters, ensuring legal compliance and strategic alignment.
  • Manage property acquisitions and disposals, reviewing all related documentation and advising as necessary.
  • Produce and review acquisition documentation, including leases and summary documents.
  • Take a lead in negotiating property matters, supporting the commerciality of properties through rental reviews and lease management.
  • Maintain and update lease and lease event databases, in collaboration with the property team.
  • Provide expert advice on disputes with landlords and devise strategies for overcoming them.
  • Manage servicing activities for specialist equipment within branches and assist with arising disputes.
  • Monitor and manage a risk register, ensuring compliance with current legislation.

The Candidate:

  • A UK-qualified Solicitor with at least 3 years' PQE, specialising in commercial property and property law.
  • Demonstrated experience in handling acquisitions, disposals, and lease negotiations.
  • A strong ability to advise on and resolve commercial disputes.
  • A proven track record of supporting property management and commerciality.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with internal teams and stakeholders.
