Role Overview
Milky Tea is seeking a Senior VFX Artist to lead the creation of stunning visuals for their upcoming game titles. The successful candidate will set the artistic benchmark, mentor other VFX artists, and collaborate with designers, programmers, and the art team to enhance gameplay with breathtaking effects. They will manage visual pipelines, asset libraries, and workflows to meet both creative and performance goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead the creation of high-quality VFX that align with the project’s visual style.
- Mentor and support VFX artists, ensuring consistent quality.
- Set benchmarks and elevate VFX standards.
- Collaborate with design, code, and art teams to deliver optimized VFX.
- Develop VFX from concept to implementation, including bug fixing and performance optimization.
- Establish and maintain efficient VFX pipelines.
- Create textures, models, animations, and simulations using tools like Photoshop, Substance, and 3D software (3dsMax, Maya, Blender).
- Stay updated with the latest tools, techniques, and trends in real-time VFX.
Requirements
- 3-5+ years as a VFX artist in the games industry.
- Proven experience with Unity, including Shader Graph and particle systems.
- Shipped at least 1 game title.
- Proficiency in 3D tools (3dsMax, Maya, Blender) and 2D tools (Photoshop, Substance).
- Technical knowledge of game performance standards, asset optimization, and memory management.
