We are seeking a caretaker to work at a welcoming school dedicated to providing a safe and positive learning environment for our students. We are looking for a skilled and reliable School Caretaker to join our team and ensure the school’s premises are well-maintained, secure, and ready for daily operations.
As the School Caretaker for this two-form entry school you will be required to work 7am - 11am each day - no second shift leaving you available for other commitments. You will be a school caretaker or a handy individual that can turn their hand to all things manual. From dripping taps to fixing and putting up shelves and ensuring a safe and secure environment for children.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure the school premises are safe and secure, including checking alarm systems.
- Perform general maintenance tasks such as minor plumbing, painting, and carpentry, and report any issues that require specialist contractors.
- Conduct regular checks of the school grounds and buildings to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Support cleanliness of the school. Assist in keeping outdoor areas, playgrounds, and gardens clean, tidy, and safe.
- Be available to respond to any urgent issues or emergencies, such as alarms or security breaches from 7am - 11am daily.
- Previous experience working in a school environment is desirable but other sectors considered.
- Practical knowledge and experience of general maintenance skills.
- A good understanding of health and safety.
