VAT Assistant Manager

A great opportunity for a VAT specialist to join the regional team of this Big 4 firm. With excellent technical training, plenty of support from senior VAT specialists and a great range of clients this could be an excellent move for someone looking to progress their career and develop advisory skills. Specific responsibilities will include:

• Working as a key member of the team to provide Indirect Tax advice to a broad range of clients helping them to achieve their commercial objectives.
• Providing indirect tax and advisory and compliance services to a range of clients
• Supporting senior members of the team in the delivery of client projects
• Day-to-day, direct contact with clients and developing long lasting, positive relationships.
• Supporting senior members of the team in business development initiatives.
• Helping to identify opportunities to implement and develop technology solutions to deliver compliance and advisory projects.
• Working with and contributing to the diverse and friendly team.

They are open to candidates coming from a range of backgrounds – you may be in HMRC looking for a first step into the private sector, or working as an in-house advisor seeking to broaden your experience, or a consultant in another firm looking to step up a level in a progressive environment. To apply you will need a UK VAT experience and a commitment to developing your Indirect Tax career. The role can be based out of Leeds, Manchester or Newcastle and the firm operates a hybrid working policy, with an expectation of 3 days a week in the office.
