As an IT Support Officer, you will be liaising with and working alongside multiple departments, providing guidance and support to users of the force crime recording and intelligence systems. You will work as part of a team, providing support to all users, using strong troubleshooting skills to ensure requests for support are dealt with in a timely manner. Hours - full time.
Key Responsibilities:- Undertaking various administrative duties in relation to digital policing systems.
- Monitoring and resolving user issues and interface errors, providing advice and documenting solutions.
- Providing a high level of customer service to internal users and partner agencies.
- Monitoring and maintaining data that passes from digital policing systems to external agencies adhering to GDPR and the Data Protection Act (2018).
- Interpret and document business requirements, raising system change requests.
- Creating and providing supporting documentation for digital policing systems, including best practice recommendations.
- Experience of working with a variety of IT systems.
- Experience of working in a service delivery/customer focused environment with evidence of good customer service skills.
- Good administration and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience of working effectively within a team.
- Experience of managing a high workload, being able to risk assess and prioritise.
- Possess good problem solving skills, showing attention to detail.

Blended Working/ Hybrid Working: Avon and Somerset Police encourage flexible working where operationally possible. This role has been identified as a blended role. The successful candidate for this role will have the opportunity to work from home whilst also at a secondary work location, which will be a police premises. The successful applicant will have the option to discuss working arrangements with their line manager. All applicants must reside within the UK.
