We are recruiting for one of the most exciting managed services providers globally, delivering cutting-edge data protection services to a variety of industry verticals. They have aligned themselves to a single global vendor offering managed services around their offering. The vendor revenue is over £600m and is growing 47% year on year. The business has built a UK & US team of over 100 people and continues to expand and remain the market leader. Last year they hired their first Senior Sales Engineer, with over 15 years in the IT channel who has led SE functions for several significant brands. Due to demand, they need to recruit for his team to support the ongoing growth of the business.

The role: As a sales engineer, you will use your technical knowledge along with sales skills to provide advice and support. You will be supporting UK customers with delivering and designing solutions, working alongside the sales team to deliver demos and POCs for customers. You will engage with sales, marketing, and partners to deliver exceptional customer experience and attend trade shows and events.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in the IT channel (either pre-sales, engineering or 2nd/3rd line support experience)
  • Experience speaking to end-user customers
  • Cyber security experience would be beneficial but not a necessity
  • Based within 2 hours of Leeds (in the office twice a month)
