Senior Satellite Technologist Duration: 1-3 months (possibility of extension) Location: Remote (onsite visits required) Rate: (Apply online only)/day (DOE) We are partnered with a close client of ours, who is looking for a Senior Satellite Communications Technology expert to carry out a technical vendor due diligence review of a global portfolio with 12 sites and approximately 150 satellite antennas. The role involves identifying red flags and assessing business plan impacts before Christmas, with a final report due by mid-January. In this role, you will: Ground Station Analysis: Evaluate location suitability (current and future), ground station design, uplink dish and transmission facilities (including backup), and onsite vs. third-party command/control systems. Satellite Network Performance: Assess network availability, outages, and resolution. Inventories & Documentation: Review physical and logical inventory, technical service catalog. Facility & Infrastructure Evaluation: Assess CAPEX/OPEX, access security, and technical operations (people, security, privacy).10 years’+ experience required
