Overview

New Business Development Manager – we have an exceptional opportunity for a highly ambitious and results-driven professional to join one of the UK\’s leading Temporary Recruitment Providers. The organisation delivers comprehensive temporary labour solutions across multiple sectors, working in close partnership with clients to provide fast, efficient, and reliable workforce solutions. Responsibilities

  • Drive new business growth by converting qualified, warm leads generated by the company\’s established in-house call centre, while also developing your own sales pipeline.
  • Build, manage, and grow strong relationships with new and existing clients across key sectors requiring temporary labour solutions.
  • Lead the full sales cycle from initial contact through to contract negotiation, onboarding, and ongoing account management.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to maximise revenue, market penetration, and client retention.
  • Work closely with recruitment and delivery teams to ensure client requirements are fully understood and consistently met.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and client needs to identify new opportunities and stay ahead in the market.
  • Meet and exceed individual and team sales targets, KPIs, and performance objectives.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and motivation where required, supporting a high-performance and results-driven culture.
  • Accurately maintain CRM systems, sales forecasts, and reporting to ensure transparency and performance tracking.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, representing the business professionally at meetings, networking events, and industry forums.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a sales or business development role within recruitment, ideally within temporary staffing or workforce solutions.
  • Demonstrated success in new business development, consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets in a competitive, KPI-driven environment.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify, develop, and maximise revenue opportunities.
  • Confident communicator with excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills at all levels.
  • Highly motivated, resilient, and self-driven, with a proactive and results-focused mindset.
  • Ability to convert qualified leads provided by an in-house call centre, while also generating and developing your own opportunities.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities effectively.
  • A professional, consultative approach with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
