We are seeking a skilled Digital Platform/BIM Expert to join our team. This role involves identifying software platforms capable of capturing PV design and construction information and ensuring compatibility with autonomous installation and assembly systems. The successful candidate will conduct market surveys, RFIs, and interviews to gather relevant data. With high customer expectations, we are looking for adaptive and driven individuals who are committed to delivering ‘right first time’.

Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

If you are successfully offered this position, you will go through a series of pre-employment checks, including identity, nationality (single or dual) or immigration status, employment history going back 3 continuous years, and unspent criminal record check (known as Disclosure and Barring Service).

Your role: You will join a team working on a high-profile project within the green energy sector. You will use creative problem-solving skills to formulate, develop and deliver design engineering solutions.

  • Identify and evaluate software platforms for PV design and construction information.
  • Ensure compatibility of software with autonomous installation and assembly systems.
  • Conduct market surveys, RFIs, and interviews to gather and analyse data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software solutions.
  • Provide technical expertise and support in software platform selection and implementation.
  • Develop and implement BIM protocols and standards.
  • Manage and maintain project content files and templates.
  • Provide technical support for BIM software.
  • Work with project teams to develop BIM workflows and processes.
  • Coordinate and manage BIM project data sets and documentation.
  • Develop and maintain BIM libraries.
  • Assist in clash detection and resolution.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of BIM industry standards and technologies.

Your skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Architecture, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in BIM and digital platform management.
  • Familiarity with PV design and construction processes.
  • Familiarity with autonomous installation and assembly systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
  • Good understanding of engineering terminology.
  • Ability to work with different teams and facilitate technical discussions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

To be successfully appointed to this role, it is a requirement to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance. To obtain SC clearance, the successful applicant must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, along with other criteria and requirements.
