Cogent Staffing are recruiting on behalf of our Leeds City Centre based client, a leading provider of security services, for a motivated Business Development Executive to help drive their growth and connect with clients in the construction sector.

Role summary:

As a Business Development Executive, you will play a crucial role in expanding the customer base within the construction sector. Your primary focus will be on generating leads through outbound sales calls, building relationships with prospective clients, and arranging face-to-face meetings to showcase comprehensive security solutions. You will work closely with the sales team to ensure a seamless transition from lead generation to closing deals.

Salary/Package:

  • 100% office based when not at client sales meetings
  • Monday to Friday 08:30-17:00
  • Salary £32,000-£35,000 plus £4,000 car allowance
  • Fantastic city centre location, good transport links/park and ride
  • Permanent role

  • It is essential you can drive for this role and have your own transport to attend client sales meetings

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outbound sales calls to generate leads and build a robust pipeline.
  • Utilize our CRM system to manage customer interactions and track sales activities.
  • Make calls from a mobile device to arrange face-to-face appointments with prospective clients.
  • Focus on quantity in initial calls to drive lead generation and appointment setting.
  • Attend appointments to conduct face-to-face sales presentations and close deals.

Qualifications:

  • Proven telesales experience with a track record of meeting targets.
  • Strong ability to build relationships and engage with clients.
  • Experience in a sales role where you have sold to clients and met them face-to-face is ideal.
  • Knowledge of the construction industry is a plus but not essential—training will be provided.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and enthusiastic about sales.
  • It is essential you can drive for this role and have your own transport to attend client sales meetings.
