Elevation Recruitment Group are partnered with a leading engineering business in Worksop in their search for a SHEQ Technician in a newly created role.
The company are a well-established UK-based design and manufacturer that specialises in providing high-quality bespoke equipment and systems. With decades of experience, the company has become a trusted name in the design, manufacturing, and supply systems for industries such as construction , recycling , and material processing .
The Role
The business are seeking a dedicated and proactive QHSE Technician to support the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) management systems. This is a hands-on, full-time, on-site role where you’ll be instrumental in maintaining and improving SHEQ standards, ensuring compliance, and supporting the engineering division.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting inspections, audits , and risk assessments to ensure compliance with SHEQ regulations.
- Supporting the development and implementation of Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) , Permits to Work , and other safety protocols.
- Leading incident investigations and ensuring corrective actions are taken.
- Managing and supporting the quality control process , including product inspections , testing , and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the business meets relevant QHSE certifications and standards.
- Reporting QHSE performance to senior management, identifying areas for improvement, and helping drive a culture of safety and quality.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of health and safety regulations , and environmental practices , ISO9001 as well as hands-on experience in inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
Essential skills and qualifications:
- Previous experience in a HSEQ role, ideally within manufacturing or engineering.
- Knowledge of quality systems , health & safety , and environmental standards.
- Strong understanding of risk assessments , incident investigations , and audits .
- Certification in QHSE-related fields (NEBOSH, IOSH, etc.) or a commitment to achieving certification with our support.
- Excellent problem-solving , communication , and organisational skills .
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
