QBE Europe is currently recruiting an experienced Senior Business Architect to join a growing transformation team in our London office. In this role you will lead the definition and maintenance of business architecture designs, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic principles and architectural designs. The role involves providing direction, guidance, and advice to Business Architects and other change personnel, as well as partnering across the organisation to drive the co-design and governance of business architecture, identify high-impact initiatives, and support the execution of long-term strategies through the creation of value for the organisation.
Your new role:
- Work with business leaders and SMEs to align business strategy to identified business capabilities through the development of business architecture models (such as value streams, service blueprints, organisational design and process architecture).
- Collaborate with Data and IT functions to ensure alignment of data and technology designs with future business design.
- Provide executive insight to shape change based on business strategy for the enterprise.
- Gain insights from customers, partners, and competitors to inform strategic decision-making.
- Shape the early stages of programmes and projects to ensure alignment with strategic direction.
- Develop and maintain business architecture roadmaps to align strategic change planning and long-term investment decisions.
- Ensure business design governance processes are followed within programmes and projects.
- Drive and foster a culture of continuous improvement, motivation, collaboration, and empowerment within the team and drive improvements in the methodology, frameworks, and processes for the Business Architecture function.
- Provide coaching and development to team members in business design skills and business knowledge.
About You:
- Experience of developing the maturity of business architecture capability, including business design governance, stakeholder engagement and communications, methodology improvements and general practice management.
- Experience communicating with executive-level stakeholder groups, advising on business, operating, and IT strategy alignment through business architecture.
- Experience working in a complex commercial environment with substantial investment in transformational change.
- Significant experience developing business designs (including business model and operating model design) through business architectures (including customer, proposition & distribution, journeys & service blueprints, organisational design, capability definition), principles, policies, and roadmaps.
