We are looking for a highly motivated and capable Technical Instructor to be based at our dedicated Voyager Training Academy. Accountable to the Technical Training Manager, this role is an integral part of the Technical Training Team providing the design and delivery of a bespoke suite of civil and military theory and practical technical training courses to ensure the Training & Capability department provides regulatory and fit-for-purpose training to the Voyager community. In addition, this role also reacts to emerging training requests to support the future needs of AirTanker.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Delivery: Carrying out Training Needs Analysis and developing the scope of training.
- Designing and amending courses in line with regulatory requirements.
- Monitoring student feedback and adjusting course content as required.
- Ensuring the welfare of all students during training events.
- Managing course sign off and certification on the AirTanker Electronic Training Records System (EFOS).
- Representing the department at stakeholder meetings, providing training updates and back briefing the team.
- As required, deliver face-to-face and remote training outside of core hours to support Voyager operations.

- De/Anti-ice to SAE 6285/6286 standards

- Large Aircraft Familiarisation
- Hangar Inductions
- Aircraft Aeromedical Practical Training
- Support Fire Service personnel on-aircraft familiarisation.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Recognised Instructional Techniques qualification or equivalent.
- Proven experience in delivering technical training.
- Experience in designing technical course content and lesson plans.
- Experience in a technical aviation environment is desirable.
- Knowledge of UK.CAA or MAA regulations related to Part 145 is desirable.
- Knowledge of DSAT-QMS is desirable.
- Previous military experience is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills for building effective student and customer relationships.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite with strong skills using PowerPoint.
- Full UK driving licence.
