An award winning Consultancy have a unique opportunity for a Qualified Actuary to join their team within a Consultative role working from either Glasgow or Edinburgh. The company have recently grown, won new business and obtained new projects. As such, they require an individual to work at a senior level, to provide a high quality actuarial service to their clients within their Private sector Pensions team but also have opportunities in Public Sector.

This is a diverse role; both focusing on technical aspects along with relationship building with key decision makers, account management to deliver service to clients, proactive business growth along with mentoring less experienced members of the team. The role shall also include participating in the preparation of technical papers for internal and external publications and the development of new propositions and service. You would also have the opportunity to be proactive in the marketing and new business activity for the firm.

A pre-requisite for the role is to be a Fellow member of the Institute or Faculty of Actuaries (or equivalent actuarial qualifications). As a Consulting Actuary, you will have a solid technical pensions background - covering joined up investment and actuarial advice and valuations within either/both the private/public sector. Some experience of bulk transfers, an understanding of employee benefits issues to help your clients and knowing actions to take would also be advantageous.
