  • A degree or equivalent in Electronic Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in electronic design.
  • Proven experience with embedded systems and microcontroller programming.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining electronics architecture for products.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions.
  • Work as part of a team to design and develop electronics hardware for new and existing products.
  • Assist in the design of embedded systems that comprise both high speed analogue and digital electronics.
  • Support the range of existing products with updates and enhancements.
  • Carry out advanced fault finding of new PCBs and systems.
  • Fully document new designs with bill of materials, test procedures, and other supporting documentation.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to integrate software with hardware components.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for systems in production.

Skills

  • Demonstrable experience with Schematic/PCB layout, circuit design, and development tools (ideally Altium, but not essential).
  • Sound knowledge of analogue and digital hardware design.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience of VHDL.
  • Experience with electronics simulation tools.
  • Experience of FPGA development tools.
  • Embedded C programming.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
  • Good communication skills; verbal and written.
  • Highly motivated.
  • Good collaborator.
