Role and Responsibilities
- Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining electronics architecture for products.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions.
- Work as part of a team to design and develop electronics hardware for new and existing products.
- Assist in the design of embedded systems that comprise both high speed analogue and digital electronics.
- Support the range of existing products with updates and enhancements.
- Carry out advanced fault finding of new PCBs and systems.
- Fully document new designs with bill of materials, test procedures, and other supporting documentation.
- Collaborate with software engineers to integrate software with hardware components.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for systems in production.
Skills
- Demonstrable experience with Schematic/PCB layout, circuit design, and development tools (ideally Altium, but not essential).
- Sound knowledge of analogue and digital hardware design.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience of VHDL.
- Experience with electronics simulation tools.
- Experience of FPGA development tools.
- Embedded C programming.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Good communication skills; verbal and written.
