A leading Ofqual-recognised Awarding Body is seeking an experienced Business Operations Leader to help shape and drive our continued growth. With consistent expansion over the last four years, we are now scaling both our digital and non-digital apprenticeship assessment offerings and we need a driven, strategic operator to support that journey.
The Role:
- Working closely with the Executive Director and senior leadership team, you will take strategic goals and turn them into clear operational plans, coordinating teams to deliver real impact.
- You will play a key role in building strong provider partnerships, championing service excellence, and leading internal teams – including line management of our Heads of Quality – to ensure high performance and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage high-value provider partnerships
- Translate strategy into operational delivery
- Own service level performance and reporting
- Oversee utilisation, capacity planning and project management
- Drive process improvements and lead technology adoption
- Engage with regulators and stay ahead of policy developments
About You:
You will have senior-level experience in an EPAO or Awarding Organisation, strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, and a proven track record in programme delivery and operational excellence.
Essential:
- 5+ years in a senior role at an Awarding Organisation
- Strong project/programme management capabilities
- Excellent people and stakeholder leadership
- Deep understanding of the education and training landscape
- Confident working with regulators such as IfATE
Nice to Have:
- Experience in training provision
- Background in quality or assessment
