Job type: Permanent and Contract (Inside IR35)

Our Client, an Engineering company, is seeking EC&I Designers for a permanent and contract position in Warrington. This role is placed within the Oil & Gas, Construction or highly regulated industry.

As an EC&I – Electrical Controls and Instrumentation Designer, you will be responsible for the production of the EC&I design within multi-discipline engineering, EPCM or EPC projects for the Gas Transmission Major Project Programme.

Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for the quality of the EC&I design and will work on specific projects related to the Gas Transmission sector predominantly for the UK compressor station infrastructure.
  • These projects will range from Concept Design (BP135G) to Execution Design (T/PM/G/35), and you shall support the Lead and Senior Engineers in delivering the EC&I design within budget and planning.
  • You will participate in internal and external design reviews supporting the Lead and Senior Engineers and, depending on size and complexity, you may be the responsible EC&I designer for one project or for a portfolio of projects.
  • You should be able to identify changes to the design scope and report the changes to the Lead and/or Senior Engineer, providing support to the management of change process.

Qualification:

  • EC&I Designers will have experience in EC&I design within single or multi-discipline engineering, EPCM or EPC projects.
  • Oil & Gas industry or related experience is preferred.
  • Willing to travel to client sites as per the project needs.
