We are seeking an experienced Process Technician to join our client's pharmaceutical manufacturing team in Cramlington. You’ll be responsible for operating and maintaining API production lines using both manual and DCS controls, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor manufacturing process trains for API production
- Strict adherence to EHS and GMP regulations
- Perform cleaning, configuration, and commissioning of equipment
- Handle process waste, effluent, and tanker operations
- Respond to process upsets and perform first-line troubleshooting and maintenance
- Support investigations and continuous improvement activities
- Contribute to SOPs and batch documentation
- Actively participate in emergency response and permit-to-work systems
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in pharmaceutical, chemical, or high-hazard manufacturing
- Strong understanding of cGMP, safety systems, and process operations
- GCSEs (incl. English, Maths, and Science); further technical qualifications desirable
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Comfortable with shift work and physically operating complex plant systems
Desirable:
- Degree in a relevant discipline, IOSH certification, mentoring/training experience
