An exciting opportunity has arisen for a site-based Electrical Quality Control professional to join a growing QA team, reporting directly to the QA Manager. This position is based on a high-profile Data Centre project in London.
The successful candidate will become part of a dynamic QA/QC team, responsible for the inspection and handover of cable installations, ensuring work is completed to the highest standards.
This role is with a leading specialist electrical contractor that delivers high-quality MV (medium voltage) and LV (low voltage) cable installation, termination services, busbar, and containment solutions. The company operates across Europe on mission-critical projects in sectors such as data centres, pharmaceuticals, renewables, power generation, and critical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect cable installation, termination, and glanding of LV and MV cables.
- Maintain inspection records using bespoke digital tools and BIM platforms.
- Liaise with the client and electrical contractors to ensure timely submission of QA inspection records.
- Resolve equipment-related queries with internal teams and clients to avoid project delays.
- Collaborate with QA and Construction teams to implement corrective and preventative actions.
- Support the communication of best practices, including mock-ups and first-of-kind installations.
- Participate in QA audits and toolbox talks.
- Manage email and telephone communications professionally.
- Track QA activities to completion to meet project deadlines.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a similar QA/QC role.
- Self-motivated and deadline-driven.
