The role we’re hiring for is a Water Hygiene & Treatment Engineer to join our team based in Leeds/York. As a Water Hygiene/Water Treatment Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in keeping water systems safe, clean, and compliant with regulations like ACOP L8 and HSG274. From conducting risk assessments and water sampling to disinfecting systems and preventing Legionella, you’ll work across commercial, industrial, and healthcare sites to ensure top-quality water management.

Here’s a look at some of the things you’ll be doing:
- Temperature monitoring of tap outlets, tanks, and cylinders; visual inspections of water systems; inspection and servicing of thermostatic mixer valves
- Cleaning and disinfection of shower heads, pipework systems, cold water storage tanks, and cooling towers in accordance with BS 8558:2011
- Conducting water sampling and analysing closed systems using a site test kit
- Descaling and internal inspections of water heaters to ensure optimal performance
Can you show experience in some of these areas:
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and technical ability, with the capability to diagnose and resolve issues effectively
- Ability to work unsupervised, take initiative, and overcome challenges to complete tasks efficiently
- Confidence in discussing technical issues, maintaining accurate engineer reports and logbooks, and providing excellent customer service
- Capable of lifting, carrying, and climbing; plumbing experience is beneficial; must hold a full UK driving license
