Do you have experience operating a Loading Shovel? We are seeking an experienced Loading Shovel Operative to join our team at Grovebury Quarry during a busy period for Holcim UK. This role involves operating a loading shovel to efficiently load lorries and hoppers while maintaining safety and productivity.
Role: Loading Shovel Operative
Pay Rate: £19 per hour
Location: Holcim UK, Grovebury Quarry, LU7 4UX
Shift Pattern: 6:30 AM - 4:30 PM, (10-hour shifts)
Duration: 2-3 months initially with a potential for extension or moving to a permanent role
Start: ASAP (once completing onboarding documentation checks)
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating loading shovel machinery safely and efficiently
- Handling materials and ensuring timely delivery to the necessary areas
- Adhering to all health and safety protocols
- Performing regular equipment checks and reporting any issues
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience in operating a loading shovel to efficiently load lorries and hoppers
