This role is critical in delivering field-based, commercially focused technical support to the sales team, farmers, growers, and distributors by translating complex product data into clear, practical insights. This role drives product development and innovation through trials, market analysis, and collaboration with local and international research partners, including the Centre Mondial de l’Innovation (CMI), to address agronomic challenges and identify market opportunities.
Duties:- Act as the link between CMI and the UK business by using field insights to guide research, drive innovation, and develop value-adding solutions.
- Provide commercially focused, field-based technical support that equips the sales team to clearly communicate product benefits and practical advice to farmers/growers, helping them maximise ROI.
- Translate complex product performance data into accessible, actionable insights for on-farm application.
- Participate in technical training for the sales team and partners, collaborate with distributors to boost sales through tailored product knowledge and practical on-farm advice, and support strong relationships with distributors and farmers by assisting the sales team with field technical support and nutrient management planning guidance.
- Plan, manage, and lead on-farm demonstrations, trials, farm walks, and industry events to showcase product performance and value.
- Lead market analysis and research on key UK crops to identify agronomic challenges and opportunities. Use grower insights to guide the CMI team in improving current products and developing future innovations.
- Collaborate with the CMI team and research institutions to develop innovative solutions for key UK crops and support long-term R&D, certifications, and strategic partnerships to enhance product credibility.
- Based full-time in our Harpenden office (UK), with daily onsite attendance required.
- Willingness to travel within the UK and occasionally to the CMI (St Malo, France) as necessary.
- FACTS and BASIS certification is desirable, or a strong commitment and commercial mindset to obtain both shortly after starting the role.
- MSc in Agronomy/Agricultural Science or Crop Science or related field.
- Proven experience in product management and development.
- Must be a team player who collaborates cross-functionally to achieve business goals.
- A full UK Driving License & ability to be on the road/field-based to provide technical support to our Technical Sales Specialists and Farmers/Growers/Agronomists/Distributors.
