We are recruiting for Production Operatives - Abattoir Department to work at our Westerleigh site who are keen to learn new skills, are focused and driven. If you feel that this describes you, we want to hear from you! We are looking to invest into people, providing role specific training to progress enthusiastic candidates up through the business.
Working Hours: 6.00 am to 16.45 - 4 days out of 5 days. The vacancies are full time on a regular shift pattern across a 40 hour week. Actual times worked may vary slightly due to job rotation on a busy production line.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating equipment and machinery (which could include knife/bladed machinery) to prepare carcass for chilling.
- Follow training in food safety to ensure a high quality, food safe products are produced for our customers.
- Ensuring health and safety to create a safe working environment for self and colleagues.
- Training in knife safety to minimise risks of injury.
- Completing tasks as efficiently as possible to reduce waste and downtime.
- Working as part of a team, demonstrating a positive attitude, and sharing knowledge.
- Work flexibly across multiple roles and areas within the Abattoir to ensure service levels are met.
- Previous experience would be beneficial.
